Shana Hiatt is the hostess of poker. She started as a spokeswoman with Party Poker and has moved to hosting all the large games. She says she doesn't play poker, but loves her announcing career in poker.

 

She was born and raised in New Jersey and did a lot of traveling young as a "army brat". She became very used to traveling and and being on trips before even being a teenager. At the age of 8, she became interested in television. She wanted to be a television news reporter.

 

In High School, she played many sports, including lacrosse, field hockey, and also was a cheerleader. She went to New Jersey's Burlington County College to study broadcast journalism. She then began modeling and traveled around the world modeling. She then entered into the Hawaiian Tropic pageant and she said it was one of the best experiences ever. The hard work paid off and was crowned Miss Hawaiian Tropic USA.

 

She then meet James Van Patten, who later became her husband and he told her to follow her dreams and got her into broadcasting. She then took over as the announcer at World Poker Tour.
